Swanfield Studios is a different recording studio experience. Unlike some recording studios in Edinburgh, when you book the studio at Swanfield, you don't just get a recording facility. You get an expert music producer with the creative skills to make you sound your best. Every recording begins with a consultation so we can get an idea of what YOUR sound is. And the mixes you get back aren't just done with roughly balanced faders. Expert production techniques will add precise dynamics, full spacial depth and a characterful overall sound.

Our custom built recording studio contains a mixture of analogue and digital gear primed to provide a flexible recording facility for all types of music.  We have a separate live room and control room kitted with a high spec variety of mics, amps and outboard from manufacturers including Focusrite, Mackie, Joe Meek, Presonus, AKG, Shure, Yamaha and more. But we don’t just have great equipment.  Our goal is to enhance your music with creative production techniques built up over years of musical experience.

Flexible recording options...

Our aim is to offer the most creative atmosphere and the most flexible recording options. Every recording project is different so we provide a range of options to suit your requirements.

1. • Singer Songwriter Demos - If you need to get your tunes down quickly, some live takes in our studio is just what you need.  Everything set up before you get here so you can just plug and play.
   

3 hour session - £69

1. • EPs/Singles - If you’re working towards your next release, we know how hard it is to guess how long it will take.  Our suggestion is you book a day session and see how far you get.   
   

7 hour day session - £145

1. • Albums - Depending on your requirements, we can provide great deals  for albums and larger projects.  You can split day sessions over several weeks to help spread the cost and keep the recording sessions feeling fresh.
